01Scope
This policy describes information handled in connection with mcaps.com and MCAPS analytics, screener, wallet connection, and support features. References to MCAPS identify the project, without representing that it is incorporated. Contact us about privacy at contact@mcaps.com.
The policy covers processing within our control. Independently operated wallets, public networks, and linked services have their own privacy arrangements. MCAPS does not custody assets or collect private keys or recovery phrases.
02Information involved
Depending on the features used, information may include:
- Public wallet addresses, balances, transaction identifiers, contract interactions, and other blockchain records retrieved for display or analysis.
- Wallet connection status and authentication signatures where a feature requires them. A signature may reveal an address; never supply a private key.
- Messages sent to support, including an email address and details you voluntarily provide.
- User material supplied through available submission features, such as asset descriptions, images, links, or profile details.
- Technical request information, such as IP address, browser characteristics, visited pages, timestamps, and error or security logs.
- Interface preferences and session information stored in your browser, and feature usage or performance information where measurement tools are enabled.
Not all categories are collected on every visit. A public wallet address can become personal information when linked to an identifiable person. Avoid sending unnecessary identity, financial, or sensitive information in support requests.
03Sources and purposes
Information can come from your input, browser requests, a connected wallet, public blockchain data, and infrastructure or data providers. We use it to display analytics, apply screener filters, maintain wallet sessions, handle enquiries, resolve errors, protect the website, and administer available features.
We may also use necessary records to detect abusive requests, investigate incidents, address rights complaints, meet legal requirements, and establish or defend legal claims. Public data displayed by MCAPS may originate outside MCAPS and may be inaccurate; contact us about corrections to records we control.
04Grounds for processing
When applicable law requires a legal basis, we rely on the basis appropriate to the activity: providing a service you request, legitimate interests in operating and protecting the website where those interests are not overridden by your rights, compliance with law, or consent for activities requiring it.
You may withdraw consent through an available control or by contacting us. Withdrawal applies prospectively and may affect the relevant optional feature. Acknowledging this policy does not by itself authorise every kind of processing.
05Public records and public submissions
Blockchain activity is generally observable by network participants and other independent parties. Combining wallet activity with an email, profile, or public post may reveal identity or relationships. Consider this before connecting a wallet or publishing material.
We cannot erase a record from an independently operated public blockchain. Removing an interface display or disconnecting a wallet does not erase the underlying record. Distributed storage, third-party caches, and copies of public submissions can remain available after we remove material from a surface we control.
06Providers and other recipients
Providers supporting website delivery, security, storage, wallet connections, network queries, indexing, market information, diagnostics, and support may receive information needed for their work. A provider operating independently may process it under its own policy; one processing for MCAPS should be subject to appropriate instructions and contractual protections.
For example, an external endpoint contacted directly by your browser can receive your IP address and request details. Public submissions are visible to their intended audience. Review an external service's privacy information before using it.
We may disclose relevant information to comply with a valid legal requirement, investigate a security incident, defend rights, or carry out an organisational transfer, subject to applicable safeguards. We may also disclose information at your request or with your valid consent.
MCAPS does not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We do not use personal information for targeted advertising.
07Cookies and browser storage
Browser storage and similar technologies may maintain wallet connections, remember settings, support website security, or measure performance. Some storage belongs to an integrated provider rather than MCAPS.
You can manage cookies through browser settings, clear local storage, and change wallet connection permissions. Those actions may reset preferences or interrupt a feature. Where optional tracking requires consent, it should operate only after the necessary consent and offer a way to withdraw it. Clearing website storage does not delete information already received by a provider or revoke an onchain approval.
08Retention
Offchain records should be retained only while needed for their stated purpose or a legitimate legal, security, or dispute-related need. Support records, logs, and submissions may have different retention periods based on their use. Information no longer needed should be deleted or de-identified where practicable, including through backup expiration procedures.
Public submissions may remain available while their feature operates. Providers may apply separate lawful retention rules. Public network records can persist indefinitely. Contact us for information about retention applicable to your records; no fixed deletion period is promised by this policy.
09Protection of information
We use proportionate access and technical protections for information under our control. Safeguards reduce risk but cannot guarantee that a website, wallet connection, or external system will never be compromised. Report a suspected exposure to contact@mcaps.com without sending credentials or recovery phrases.
10Processing across borders
Internet infrastructure and service providers can process information in countries different from yours. Applicable privacy protections may differ. Where international transfers require legal safeguards, those requirements apply to our processing. Contact us to ask about relevant processing locations and safeguards.
11Requests and choices
Depending on applicable law, you may be entitled to access personal information, receive a portable copy, request correction or deletion, restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent, or appeal a refused request. You may also have the right to complain to a competent privacy regulator. These rights have legal conditions and exceptions.
Send requests to contact@mcaps.com. Provide enough information to locate relevant records, such as the email used for support or a public wallet address. We may request proportionate verification of your identity or authority. We will not ask for your wallet recovery phrase or private key. Where useful, a safe wallet-signature process may help establish control of an address, without proving identity by itself.
We respond within applicable legal time limits and explain a refusal where required. We will not penalise you for exercising protected rights. Requests cannot require us to alter an independent public ledger or delete records we must lawfully retain.
You may browse features that do not require a connected wallet without connecting one, manage browser storage, and avoid personal details in public submissions.
12U.S. state privacy rights
Where a U.S. state privacy law applies, eligible residents may have additional rights concerning categories of information, access, correction, deletion, portability, appeals, and certain uses or disclosures. Submit a request to contact@mcaps.com or use an available privacy control.
We do not knowingly process sensitive personal information for purposes that trigger a statutory right to limit without providing the protections required by the relevant law. If legally required, recognised opt-out preference signals will be handled in accordance with that law.
13Age restrictions
MCAPS is intended for adults aged 18 or above, subject to any higher local age requirement. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has supplied information through MCAPS, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action concerning records under our control.
14Changes and contact
We may update this policy to reflect changes in features, processing, or law. The effective date identifies the version. Where required, we will provide notice of material changes and obtain consent for processing that requires it.
